Last day in Mendoza and I'm still in my pjs. (as seen above) But, time to finish packing up.

Almost time to go home...

6 days until I go back home to sunny (and very hot I've heard) upstate NY! I'm very excited to get back and start my summer projects. I am planning to have a MASSIVE clean sweep of my room and (obv) lotsss of art. Plus, I am going to start planning my apartment out with my cute new roomie which is why I have been obsessivly stalking UO lately. These are what I've found:

This little grill (which I first saw on Elsie's blog) is soo cute and perfect for our little two person meals out on our balcony.

I think I'm going to make my own shower curtain but isn't this one so darn cute? Just in case, this is definitely a back up.

I'm also going to make some of these for guests. We plan on having lots of fun get togethers with friends :)

Love love loveee these towels. I want one in every color!

Ohh RVs. Photo transfer pillows are oh so fun.

I think I have an obsession with cute woven rugs. Love them.

They have a bunch of different versions of these vases. So delicate and cute. And I love fresh or dried flowers too.

Okay, so this is a bit expensive and I won't be buying it but it's sooo adorable. Our apartment is already (slightly) furnished but I kind of want to make covers to make the furniture cuter. They are grey and sad now. They could be so happy and bright :)

Also, I think I found this on a Readymade blog, but Band of Horses is one of my new favorite bands. You can stream it here and listen and although I was hesitant at first, now I want to buy the cd on iTunes to load onto my iPod. It's been on repeat on my laptop these days. I can't get enough. Can't wait to get home and use it as work music.

Readymade inspiration.

So many things running through my head today about my future. Now that Katie and I are planning on teaming up to create together (not really sure how else to put it) I've been getting lots of ideas.

To keep the ideas coming, my wonderful mother sent me a package with my favorite magazine in it: Readymade. (above) It's so wonderful and incredibly inspiring for me. Fashion, gardening, design, cooking, re-purposed objects, re-furbished objects and DIY everything.

I have loved magazines for a long long time but when I found this one, it was everything I wanted in a magazine and I have kept every copy.

They are actually revamping (sp?) now and it's better than ever. They're doing a great job.

I would love to intern/work there someday just to understand the insides of my love for magazines. I have always had this desire to want to make the magazines that inspired me and creating my own magazine actually just occured to me. I always thought I could work for one, but why have I never thought about creating my own?

I know what you're thinking, lots of dreams all at once. Too much. But I am a serious researcher and I wouldn't start anything like this without much thought, lotsss of research and probably some Graphic Design classes. No worries readers.

Long - term dreams... ahhh.

Anyway, more about Readymade: They have a ton of different blogs on their website also. It seems like something for everyone. Actually 9 different themes, you could call them.

Design Binder is a favorite of mine. It has things like this.

Well, I'm sorry I can't post more but I have to pack up my wholeee room today to move my things tomorrow. And then I'm off traveling for about a week and a half. But I'll try to get one more post in before I leave.

Thoughts of Home

This is sooo wonderful and very relevant for me these days. I'm feeling more and more at home in Mendoza and unfortunately, (but fortunately) I will be leaving Argentina for the US in 3 weeks time.

I do miss my family, friends and the US very much, but like I said, I feel more comfortable here every day and have met some amazing new friends that will be hard to leave.

This is also a great print by Andrew Bannecker. I love the overlapping colors. So brillant. He has a ton of great pieces so check out his site if you have a few minutes... or a while as you might get sucked in. :)

I love love love this print by Lisa Congdon. She's pretty amazing.

Also, I've been wanting to do something with my bathroom for a long time and I haven't been sure. Paint it? Wallpaper? Hmm... then I saw a print of birch trees and remember how much I loveddd birch tree wallpaper.

Now I don't have the money to buy it, but I do have black and white paint. Fun summer project?

I love this one (above) It's like a paint-by-number.

I just googled "birch tree wallpaper" therefore these images were a result of that.

I have been making lots of plans for this summer. I'm going to have to start writing them down to get them out of my head. One of the first is cleaning out my room/painting. I will be excited to get back to my easel and start new plans with Katie.

Can't wait to have good internet, art supplies and my sewing machine back again.

There are good things about going home... besides friends and family.

Sleepy sleepy.

I miss my bed at home. It's big, comfy and has lots of blankets and quilts that I can snuggle in. My bed here is nice, but small and not as comfy. Can't wait to jump into my bed at home again and snuggle. Now I just need a kitty to cuddle with...
