Florals: Lovely Tuesdays

So today, in my Surface Design class, we started floral patterns. We have done stripes and square repeats so far. (I promise, these will be coming soon. I just forget because my life is so crazy.) 

Anyway, because we looked at a bunch of patterns, I though to myself: Self, you should start an iPhoto archive of patterns. And then I thought: Self, you are so smart. 

Ok maybe I didn't really think the second part, but I thought it was a good idea. I already have an inspiration folder (so important). So now that I'm in textiles, doesn't it just seem right to have a textile/pattern folder? I think so. 

So, I bring to you some florals to enjoy on your Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. And then, after I'm done with this project, I'll show you what I came up with. :)

I'm doing some color research for my new spinning assignment {which will be shown sometime soon} and I found some pretty things along the way. 

Whimsicalities is just fantastic for beautiful images as well as beautiful quotes. So inspiring.

It's a late night for me tonight, but I wanted to stop and say hi before heading off to do some more work! (Ahhhh!) 

I have been a busy bee lately and have not had time to think about anything having to do with my blog... *tear* But good news!! Remember those pillows I slaved over this past summer? (If you don't/weren't around, just draw your attention to my title bar and you will see them!) 

Welllll, I participated in the RISD Student Sale this year for the very first time with my good friend Sunny and we both had a great outcome! I was soooo excited that my pillows sold well! And I have lots of new ideas for expanding my pillow collection and improving! Exciting! 

Hopefully these changes and new pillows and *possibly* an Etsy store (?) will happen during my Wintersession which gives me A LOT more time. (Which I noticeably haven't had... sorry!) If anyone has advice for set-up, managing or how much time weekly you put in, comments would be extremely appreciated!

I will definitely be posting this weekend and give you all a sneak of what I have been spending all my time doing. I have been having SOOOOO much fun in Textiles! It was a great choice for me. I'm so happy. :) 

I hope you all find love in these illustrations I found on Etsy. (up top) They are my new favorites. I really want this one for Christmas!! (hint hint... hehe)

September 1st was my last post?

Oh my... so sorry. 

Obviously, things have been super busy for me lately, as I haven't posted in over a month. But the RISD Art Sale yesterday reminded me that I *have* to post something on here, and get back into blogging regularly. 

School has been really hectic. Especially as I have changed my major and like any other day, today is another full day of work. Meaning, it's hard for me to take the time to post right now. 

Therefore, I will be posting more later. (Lots of fun stuff happening lately) But until then, go check out the new RVA shop! It looks sooo super cute and I can't wait to visit one day!

Elsie's shop makes me dream of one day having my own... *sigh*
